Panasonic Lumix® DMC-FX8K Digital Camera

5 megapixels: The Panasonic DMC-FX8K digital camera captures outstanding pictures with 5-megapixel resolution—this means you can create 4" x 6" prints or enlarge your pictures to sizes as big as 11" x 17".

Zoom: The 3x optical zoom lets you get really close to your subject before you take your shot, and the additional 4x digital zoom lets you enlarge the details before or after shooting.

Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens: Made by one of the most respected camera companies in the world, this compact lens combines a small size with superb image rendering.

2.5" LCD: Frame your shot, review up to 25 thumbnail images at once and access the menu using the enormous 2.5" LCD screen. For easier viewing on sunny days, use the Power LCD button to boost backlighting by about 40%.

Optical image stabilizer: Don't worry about shaky hands blurring a shot—the optical image stabilization system keeps pictures focused.

MegaBurst® consecutive shooting: The Panasonic DMC-FX8K digital camera has a super-fast response that lets you snap off consecutive shots at 3 frames per second with full resolution.

High-speed AF: Choose from five AF settings—Spot, 1-point (normal or high-speed), 3-point high-speed, and 5-point. The 1-point normal setting prevents "image-freezing" while focusing on fast-moving subjects, while high-speed setting slashes AF time to about 1/3 that of the DMC-FX7K.

Memory: This digital camera comes with a 16MB memory card, which stores around 12 pictures at the highest resolution. Get the most out of your camera by adding a 512MB or larger MultiMediaCard or SD memory card. How much memory do you need?

Movie mode: When a snapshot just isn't enough, you can record VGA movies at 30 frames per second directly to your memory card. A built-in microphone ensures that your videos sound as good as they look.

Shooting modes: Twelve scene modes let you set your camera to the shooting conditions. There's no need to adjust the camera manually—just choose a mode and start shooting.

PictBridge-enabled: Simply connect this camera to any PictBridge-enabled printer to print pictures without a PC
